Carter Lumber acquires DSD Builders Supply in Canton, Ohio, will operate location as full-service lumberyard under Holmes Lumber brand

Carter Lumber’s market share continues to grow with the recent announcement that they acquired the assets of DSD Builders Supply, Canton Ohio (a former subsidiary of Stark Truss). The asset purchase of DSD Builders Supply included the inventory, rolling stock and equipment. With this agreement, Carter Lumber will operate the store under the Holmes Lumber brand (a division of Carter Lumber since 2004)

Holmes Lumber (a subsidiary of the Carter Lumber Company) opened the new store today in Canton, Ohio and adds to its current facilities in Millersburg, Ohio and Sugarcreek, Ohio. The store will become a full service lumberyard, with expanded product offerings. In addition, many of the key employees including former manager Mike Kiefer were retained in the transition and will continue to offer customers great products and exceptional customer service.
