In Germany, prices for recycled corrugating medium and white testliner declined in October compared with September and could drop again this month due to weak markets, according to sources, reported EUWID-Paper on Nov. 8.
Prices in Germany last month went down about €20 per tonne for recycled corrugating medium and about €10/tonne for white testliner, said most respondents.
Several market observers expected that recovered paper prices would continue to decline in November, possibly pressuring prices on corrugated case materials down further.
In addition, the market is being undermined by high inventories, a lull in exports and lean order books, EUWID reported.
