Graphic Packaging receives approval from Georgia's Houston County for US$30M bond for expansion of its Perry, Georgia, paperboard beverage packaging plant, expected to create 50 jobs

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia , October 19, 2011 (press release) – The Houston County Development Authority has approved a $30 million bond for the expansion of a plant in Perry.

The Macon Telegraph reports (http://bit.ly/pb2zYa ) the expansion is for Graphic Packaging International, which makes cardboard beverage packaging. The expansion is expected to add 50 jobs at the plant.

Authority Chairman Neal Talton said Wednesday the county has no liability with the bond issue.

Graphic Packaging is headquartered in Marietta, Ga.
