Choices is a Scholastic Classroom Magazine which was previously available only to educators for use in the classroom, but is now available for parents and teens to purchase at home on their tablet. The magazine, which is designed to help teens navigate their everyday challenges, covers tough subjects in a way that is interesting and informative to teens. Topics include bullying, relationships, health and nutrition, exercise, mental health, and technology.

"We are very excited to help more students navigate their teen years through Choices magazine on the Kindle Fire," said Judy Goldberg, Editor of Choices magazine. "A huge part of guiding our teens toward making smart life decisions is equipping them with knowledge and perspective about the realities of being a teen today. That reality includes many teens consuming media on tablets, which we hope will be a well-received format for our content."

Each month, the "Different Like You" series introduces readers to ordinary teens who have lived through unique experiences, like Kevin Lui, a New York City teen whose family became homeless and lived in shelters for three years. Other features profile teens who are inspiring others in their communities. The magazine recently ran a story about Gabby Taylor, a former cheerleader who suffered an injury in the sport that nearly paralyzed her. After her recovery, she was crowned Miss Teen Minnesota and now uses her platform to raise awareness for sports safety.

Choices also recently launched a blog for parents and educators, TeenBeing. Updated daily by the editors of the magazine, TeenBeing is a resource that delivers timely and relevant information about the issues affecting today's teens.
