Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC (the “Group”) informs: first waste paper collection point has been opened in Almaty.
The first waste paper collection point has been opened today in Almaty. It is located at Atakent area at crossing of Temiryazev and Auezov streets. This is the first collection point out of five which are planned for opening within the pilot project sponsored by the Group. The project has found a support from the municipal authorities of Almaty city.
Now inhabitants of neighboring residential apartments and office tenants will reduce the volume of uselessly thrown waste and improve living quality by making paid return of the waste paper at this point.
Taisiya Kogutuk, CEO of the Group, commented: - First of all I would like to thank Akimat of Almaty for a thorough backup of our initiative. This project would not be realized without it. We have forward looking plans where whole Almaty city will be covered by the chain of waste paper collection points. In the far looking perspective we plan to cover the territory of entire country. These plans are developed in close cooperation with local authorities and are an integral part of the sustainable growth strategy of the group where sustainability and nature preservation play pivotal role.
