Türkiye - Syria Earthquake: Our support We send our deepest sympathy as the desperate situation caused by the devastating earthquakes that struck Türkiye (Turkey) and Syria last week continues. We are committed to providing support through our disaster relief emergency partner The British Red Cross and locally through the Turkish Red Crescent. We are committed to our fight for access The earthquakes have ravaged the region causing extensive damage to hundreds of homes, hospitals, bridges and roads and disrupting vital services, such as power supplies. The scale of the catastrophe is unimaginable and with it comes devastating humanitarian consequences. We are committed to fight for access, especially in these most devastating of times. To do what we can to help with the region's worst disaster in 100 years, Reckitt has committed a minimum of £700,000 to our disaster relief emergency response partner The British Red Cross through the DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal and the Turkish Red Crescent and we are matching employee funds raised. This support will help provide lifesaving humanitarian assistance across the region including support with search and rescue, providing essential aid and supporting the wounded. It is in times of crisis that we see how much our people care for one another. That is why we are matching employee donations made to the British Red Cross DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal and Turkish Red Crescent up to a total of £200k respectively. Support for our colleagues We are of course also ensuring our colleagues in Turkey and their families are provided with critical medical, food, housing and ongoing mental health support through this extremely challenging time. We will continue to work with our disaster relief emergency response partners to provide support to those most in need.
