Fujifilm Europe merges Medical Systems Business unit with Fujifilm Healthcare Europe to form a dedicated healthcare regional headquarters; the move aims to spur medical technology innovation for better patient outcomes

FUJIFILM Europe regional headquarters has created a specialist, dedicated Healthcare headquarters by merging its Medical Systems Business Unit with FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe (formerly Hitachi Medical Systems Europe).
This will enable greater focus and expertise to flourish and drive forward medical technology innovation to the benefit of clinicians and patients alike

FUJIFILM Europe GmbH, the European regional headquarter of the Japanese imaging company FUJIFILM, announces the formation of the new regional headquarter FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe GmbH, separating its medical systems headquarter business from its imaging and materials business for increased agility and more autonomy in decision making and setting strategic priorities. From its inception, Fujifilm has been a leader in imaging, and it is committed to continuing this focus in the new iteration of the company, aiming to become a leader in the market through its innovations in medical imaging.

Fujifilm acquired Hitachi’s diagnostic imaging business in 2021. The European headquarters of FUJIFILM’s Medical Systems Business Unit and FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe (formerly Hitachi Medical Systems Europe) headquarters are being merged to maximise the value of the combined product portfolio.

Fujifilm’s philosophy of bringing together different innovative technologies, perspectives and capabilities creates increased value for customers and aims to build a better future for everyone.

Working closely with healthcare professionals, Fujifilm continues to develop products and services aimed at delivering the most comprehensive solutions to improve the quality of patient outcomes. Covering technologies from prevention to treatment shall enable Fujifilm to provide healthcare solutions covering as many diseases as possible with a big focus being early cancer detection and improved diagnosis along the patient pathway.

This sits alongside other medical systems related strands like FUJIFILM SonoSite and the wider Healthcare business which pertain to Life Science and Bio CDMO manufacturing.

Various different European FUJIFILM subsidiaries will or did already follow the way of forming a dedicated Healthcare entity for increased support to the customer base.
