Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reports that from November 1-18, 4.6 million people selected 2024 health plans through Federal marketplaces; most are renewing coverage

Nearly 4.6 million people selected a 2024 health plan through the federally facilitated Marketplaces Nov. 1-18, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reported last week. Eight in 10 enrollees were renewing coverage and the rest were new consumers.  

Thirty-two states are using the federal platform for 2024 open enrollment, which runs through Jan. 15. Consumers should enroll by midnight on Dec. 15 for coverage to start Jan. 1. AHA’s #GetCovered webpage offers resources to help people choose the best coverage for themselves and their families
