SB 54 April WorkshopSlides and Other Announcements April Workshop: On April 26, 2023, CalRecycle hosted an informal workshop on the topic of covered material. This workshop included an informational session focusing on the definition of “covered material,” a non-regulatory workshop on data reporting systems, and a workshop on regulatory concepts pertaining to covered material. The slides are available here. As a reminder, CalRecycle will accept written feedback on April workshop content until May 09, 2023. The rulemaking concepts can be found in the linked discussion document along with suggested guidance for submitting written feedback. Upcoming Workshop: On May 31, 2023, CalRecycle will host an informal workshop for SB 54, focusing on source reduction and responsible end markets. The workshop will include an informational session and provide an opportunity for stakeholders to provide feedback on several rulemaking concepts. It is currently scheduled for 9:00am at Byron Sher Auditorium, 2nd floor, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 (CalEPA Headquarters) with an option to join through Zoom or webcast. Workshop materials will be provided through the listserv the week prior. Workshop times and content are still in development and are subject to change. Request from Interested Parties: CalRecycle wants your help reaching all entities that may be impacted by SB 54 or are interested in participating in the informal and formal rulemaking process.
