Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) Disappointed in Mexican Tariff Announcement

Sample article from our Government & Public Policy

April 23, 2024 (press release) –

The AEC concurs with the statement by the U.S. Aluminum Extruders Coalition regarding the Mexican Government's continued refusal to amend its various duty exemption programs to prevent the use of highly subsidized and unfairly trade aluminum in its extrusion process. Yesterday's announcement does nothing to address the significant amount of Chinese and Russian metal being extruded in Mexico and then exported to the United States.
