On behalf of Bluesource Sustainable Forests Company (BSFC), LandVest is pleased to announce the offering of the Caribbean Timberlands. The Caribbean Timberland portfolio is a multifaceted natural resource investment comprised of a collection of investment-grade timberlands, natural forests, and conservation opportunities located in east-central Costa Rica that total 3,431± hectares.
The Caribbean Timberlands portfolio offers a diverse mix of plantations and natural forest types on four unique tracts. All tracts are located on the Caribbean slope and vary in elevation from near sea level to 1,200 meters above sea level. All the tracts are currently managed as active timber plantations, as well as for ecosystem services such as biodiversity protection, watershed protection, and carbon sequestration. Portions of the property have been historically recognized and compensated by the Costa Rican government for ecosystem protection and reforestation.
