OLYMPIC TREE FARM Clallam County, Washington

  • Bid Event
  • 57,156 ACRES

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Campbell Global, LLC has retained LandVest, Inc. as their marketing and transaction manager for the disposition of the Olympic Tree Farm. The property is located on the Olympic Peninsula between the community of Sekiu and East of the Makah Tribe reservation surrounding Neah Bay. This is a very rare opportunity to own a virtually contiguous timberland property of this magnitude and quality in the West.

This offering represents the majority of the legacy Olympic Tree Farm with continuous timberland operations dating back to the 1940s under Crown Zellerbach’s ownership. Today the tree farm presents as a highly productive and well-stocked, multi-species conifer forest managed on an even-aged regime in a temperate rainforest environment. Growing sites on the property are some of the highest observed in North America. It is a beautiful and well-managed industrial forest demonstrative of responsible stewardship and illustrative of the premier growing sites that promulgate commercial species on essentially all commercial growing space.

The road infrastructure in place is best in class, having received un-sparing capital investment to allow for year-round harvest activity and market access. The region has excellent domestic mill resources and export opportunities out of Port Angeles and Aberdeen.

These unique Pacific Northwest timberlands will be offered for sale through a two-stage, sealed bid process. The project is expected to launch after the July 4th holiday, with first-stage bids due August 4. Bids will be considered on both the offering in its entirety and individually on the subsidiary 6,279-acre Olympic North unit. Second-stage bidding invitations will follow shortly after that, with additional time for further due diligence, property site visits, and more detailed information before the second-stage bid due date.

The property is accessed off State Highway 112, Strait of Juan de Fuca Scenic Byway. It is a 90-minute drive West from Port Angeles or a 60-minute drive north from Forks, Washington. The property is fully gated, and motorized vehicle access is restricted to permission only. Please note that only those parties invited to participate in the second stage will be allowed access onto the property. Details will be provided at that time.
