The Board, staff and membership of the Australian Forest Products Association have acknowledged the significant contribution to industry by Bob Gordon, who has today announced he is stepping down as a director of Forestry Australia. Noting his many years of service the CEO of AFPA Joel Fitzgibbon said Bob Gordon would leave a lasting legacy. “As interim CEO of the Institute of Foresters Australia and then Board member and President of the Institute and later Forestry Australia, Bob’s leadership and commitment to forestry in Australia has been unwavering. “Bob has led a distinguished career in many fields, not least of which includes his service to Australia’s forestry sector. I’ve had the privilege of working with Bob over the course of the last twenty years. “On behalf of AFPA, we wish him well in all his future endeavours,” Joel Fitzgibbon concluded.
