February 26, 2024 (press release) –

Subway® Canada celebrates the launch of the highly anticipated Chocolate Chip Footlong Cookie by bringing this larger-than-life treat to locations nationwide.

– Canadians asked, Subway® Canada delivered! The highly anticipated Footlong Cookie is heading north and arriving at Subway locations from coast to coast to coast. As the ultimate expert in Footlongs and as Canada’s cookie destination, with nearly 80 million cookies sold in 2022 alone, Subway Canada’s newest menu item will surely become a Footlong favourite among Canadians.

News of the world’s first Footlong Cookie spread across Canada since its introduction in the United States in January 2024, leaving cookie lovers crumbling for their chance to get ahold of the tasty treat. Packed with decadent chocolate chips, these ruler-length cookies melt in your mouth and are served warm - making them the perfect sidekick to your favourite Footlong sandwich or a shareable mid-day snack.

“The demand for the Footlong Cookie was so overwhelming and we wanted to deliver for our Subway fans with a limited-time menu item in Canada,” said Subway Canada Head of Marketing, Lisa Mazurkewich. “From social media to restaurant teams, people were begging for the Footlong treats. The only question now: do you share or eat it all yourself?”

To celebrate the launch of the Footlong Cookie, Subway has answered the age-old question, “Can cookies fly?” In the Greater Toronto Area on February 26 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the unthinkable will happen, and a first-of-its-kind Footlong Flyover will take the city by delicious surprise, as the Footlong Cookie will make its flight from the United States to Canada. The massive cookie, spanning 25 feet by 75 feet, will soar the city skies before landing safely in Subway restaurants across the country. Cookie lovers, be warned; cravings will ensue.

Whether you split your Footlong Cookie with a loved one or devour it on your own, it’ll only be here for a limited time, so be sure to visit your local Subway to get it while it’s hot – and keep an eye on the sky; you just might see Subway’s newest Footlong flying on over!

For those that can’t get enough Footlong fare, keep an eye on Subway Canada - there are more stretched-out menu items coming in 2024.
