The Veridian collection includes a full suite of compliant, BPI-Certified products including:

  • Clamshells
  • Cups & Lids
  • Cutlery
  • Deli Containers
  • Salad Bowls & more

Why were these laws enacted?

Contamination from non-compostable products continues to be the dominant reason that composters choose not to accept even legitimate, certified compostable products. The only choice for some composters has been to stop accepting compostable products entirely, or to require field testing despite the fact that, while valid field data can be extremely useful, it does nothing to address the systemic issue of contamination from non-compostable products.

One place to start addressing the contamination issue is on-item labeling, like Washington and Colorado have chosen to do.

While on-item labeling is a critical piece of the contamination mitigation equation, it will not solve everything. Our CIRC Contamination Mitigation program is designed to help operators take a systems approach to the contamination issue.
