- The initiative was developed by Panela Nestlé, Nestlé's innovation platform, in partnership with Venture Hub, to bring university students and their startups closer to Nestlé's innovation ecosystem

The food giant Nestlé, in partnership with the accelerator Venture Hub, has just launched the Nestlé Panela Academy program, a free initiative that aims to connect the leading company in the food and beverage sector with startups, entrepreneurial leagues and incubators at three universities in Brazil : University of Campinas (Unicamp), Fundação Getúlio Vargas< a i=9> (FGV) and Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). The initiative aims to assist in the development of existing businesses, seek new growth opportunities and encourage entrepreneurship.

The program is structured into five thematic moments, scheduled to take place between October and December. Each meeting will be divided into sessions with different activities, dynamics and objectives. The program includes content related to agile methodologies, traction and growth, as well as product development. Among the dynamics, there are pitch presentations, connection with representatives of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and moments of exchange between participants and speakers - Nestlé employees.

The sessions, which will be led by employees from Nestlé and Venture Hub, will feature the participation of guests, who will introduce young entrepreneurs to essential concepts and tools for validating solutions, mapping opportunities and target audiences, and planning strategies, for example. The guests will be Nestlé employees and entrepreneurs from startups connected to Panela.

Another exclusive feature of the program is access to the platform TechStart Digital Ecosystem, from Venture Hub. The space is an opportunity for participants to interact with members of other entrepreneurial leagues, present the startup and challenges, generating networking, and also a way to recap the content presented at the meetings.

The first meeting of the Nestlé Panela Academy took place in October. The next interactions will also take place remotely, with the exception of the final meeting, which will be in person and will bring together participants at Panela House, Nestlé's innovation space. On the closing day, in addition to the immersion and visit, exclusive dynamics, exchange of experiences between mentors and university students and evaluation of pitches are planned.

“The Nestlé Panela Academy is centered on relationships and promotes the connection of university students who are members of startups already created or in formation, Nestlé, the Venture Hub accelerator and other entrepreneurial students. This type of approach has a lot of value and can bring many fruits along the way”, explains Carolina Falcoski, Innovation Manager at Nestlé.

Furthermore, Carolina reinforces the role of Nestlé and Venture Hub in initiatives such as the Nestlé Panela Academy .

“Our role is to make the initiative happen, share knowledge and the connections we have. There were many preparations to make the program possible and, now, everyone who is participating and contributing in some way has a fundamental role in this journey. We want to meet, listen and learn from the participants, and bring them closer to initiatives that take place at Nestlé and that can generate a lot of shared value for the entire business.”
