Original Press Release:

São Paulo, Nov. 13 -- Nestlé issued the following news release:

- Content about investments, debts and income tax can be accessed through the company's health and well-being application, which already offers telepsychotherapy, meditation, telenutrition, teleconsultations and personal training.

With the aim of democratizing knowledge in finance, covering an audience of more than 60 thousand people, including employees, dependents, retirees and pensioners, Nestlé launched financial education trails integrated into its internal health application and well-being. The psychoeducation project was born from the analysis of financial doubts and how to manage income sent by his team to the Specialized Employee Assistance Program (PEAC), which provides financial, legal and assistance support.

Just as the World Health Organization ( WHO ) understands that health is “a complete state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not just the absence of illness”, Nestlé also seeks to create care initiatives aimed at financial balance , for understanding that the topic is an essential part of an integrated and efficient people management perspective.

Launched in the second half of this year, the educational trails cover four themes: how to invest while always beating inflation (SELIC Rate, IPCA, CDI, real interest); increase your income tax refund (difference between simplified and full declaration, what is the maximum income to benefit from the simplified declaration and invest and receive a refund); how to start investing (types of investments that yield more in the medium and long term and how to define the terms of your investments); and how to get out of debt (be careful with credit cards, how to negotiate with banks and maximum debt limit in relation to income).

Currently, the tracks are available internally and already have an average of 2,500 views per month, which represents 13% of direct employees accessing the content. For 2024, there is a plan to open access to other audiences, as happened this year with pre-approved candidates in the Nestlé Trainee Program selection process.

“ At Nestlé, we encourage a healthier and more balanced life, whether through a balanced diet, playing sports and even financial education. The concept of caring for people is part of our culture and values. In this way, we develop continuous initiatives linked to our health and well-being application. We provide our people with an integrated health package that includes telepsychotherapy, meditation, telenutrition, teleconsultations and a personal trainer. ”, explains Katia Regina , Director of Total Rewards at Nestlé Brasil.
