The Coca-Cola Co. recently hosted its “Magic Tet Dinner Table” in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to celebrate the upcoming Dragon New Year, said Leonardo Garcia, Coca-Cola’s Vietnam and Cambodia Country Head, in a recent LinkedIn post. “We always wish to honor the traditional Tet meal of the Vietnamese, strengthening the bonds within families and communities, and even spreading the exciting atmosphere of the New Year,” Garcia said. The highlight of the evening, Garcia said, was Coca-Cola setting four certified records in Vietnam and two world records at the same time this year, recognized by the World Records Union. “We’ve become the company organizing the Vietnamese Tet campaign that holds the highest number of national and worldwide records ever,” Garcia said. Over 1,000 families, partners, media agencies and artists joined the event. In addition, to celebrate the tradition of unity among the Vietnamese people and promote the spirit of mutual support during Tet holiday, Coca-Cola donated VND 3 billion to Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union – Vietnam Youth Federation of Ho Chi Minh City to support underprivileged children. This year also marks 30 years of Coca-Cola serving in Vietnam, with the company continuously learning and embracing Vietnamese amazing culture, traditions and celebrations. “We promise to do better, to continue refreshing the world and make a difference!” Garcia said. “Happy Tet to you and your loved ones, and cheers to a great year ahead!”
