announces that after four decades with the business, Global Vice President for
People & Organization
(Mars Chief Human Resources Officer)
Eric Minvielle
will retire at the end of the year.
Eric has had a remarkable journey at Mars since joining in
France
in
March 1984
. During his impressive career with the business, Eric has led various business functions across all continents (except
Antarctica
), moving 12 times and living in five countries. In his last role, Eric was instrumental in strengthening the company's talent bench, accelerating the I&D journey and building the capabilities Mars needs now and in the future. Throughout his career, Eric has developed strong relationships with Associates from all parts of the business and been a trusted thought partner.
Mars CEO
Poul Weihrauch
said, "Eric leaves a legacy of making Mars a place people want to join, stay and grow. He helped the business expand into what it is today, leading through complex changes, uncertainty and acquisitions. One of his most notable contributions was the role he played in the acquisition of
Royal Canin
, a business unit he subsequently ran in the
Americas
. We are incredibly grateful for all that Eric has done to advocate for our Associates and help our business grow, always using the collective strength of the Mars Five Principles. I will miss working with Eric but I'm lucky to have him as a lifelong friend."
Eric will be succeeded by
Rebecca Snow
as the new Global Vice President for
People & Organization
(P&O). In her new role, Rebecca will report directly to
Poul Weihrauch
and sit on the Mars Leadership Team, based in
McLean, Virginia
.
Rebecca is currently Vice President P&O for Mars Snacking based in
Chicago, Illinois
. She started her career with Mars at Pedigree Petfoods in the
U.K.
In her almost 30 years with the business, she's gained broad experience across functions, business units, and geographies. In her current role, she helped transform Mars Snacking through talent and capability acceleration, as well as mindset and behavior change - playing a critical role in the segment's strong performance over the past few years.

Rebecca will begin transitioning into role in July and take on full responsibilities starting
October 1st
. Eric will be with the company through end of year to ensure a best-in-class transition.
