Asda announces launch of novelty-shaped chick pizza for Easter; product available with a variety of toppings until April 8 for £3.50 at Asda's in-store pizza counters and online

Asda has been causing a stir on social media this week after the retailer was inundated with comments from consumers trying to figure out what the design of their latest pizza was.

One social media user said, ‘this looks like Frankenstein with a Mohawk?’ and another said that they: ‘genuinely thought it was a South Park character.’

Asda today wanted to lay all the rumours to rest and confirmed the shape of its NEW Easter pizza is a of course a chick which expands on its novelty range which includes a chick cheesecake and chick cake jar.

The new novelty pizza set to be smash with the kids - comes complete with wings and cute hair-do - is available at Asda’s popular in-store pizza counters and online now. The brand-new chick-shaped pizza is the latest addition to the retailer’s pizza counter offering - and long line of novelty shapes - which is available in the run up to Easter, now until 8^th April 2023.

Following the success of its iconic heart-shaped pizza last month for Valentine’s Day, Asda’s new animal-shaped pizza offering will set shoppers back just £3.50, a fraction of the cost of a takeaway pizza.

With five toppings to choose from including Mighty Meat Feast, Very Veggie Supreme, Cheese Meltdown, Peperoni Feast and The Sizzler, there is something to ‘chickle’ everyone’s fancy – making the chick-shaped pizza the ideal Easter time treat or Friday night fakeaway selection.

The new pizza is the perfect pick for shoppers looking for an egg-sellent value offering – or be the perfect conversation starter among friends - as it can also be picked up as part of Asda’s Bigger Movie Nights offer - which includes two medium pizzas, one bottled drink and a Sky Movie voucher, for just £6.
