June 16, 2022 (press release) –

Veryvell, the CBD sparkling water produced by Truss USA, is now available in nearly half of U.S. states through direct-to-consumer sales on its website.

The brand also recently launched on retail shelves in New York and New Jersey, with the help of the Molson Coors distribution network.

With the expansion, Veryvell has now earned a retail presence in three of the top five cannabis-consuming states in the U.S. And it’s got its sights set on California – the world’s top cannabis consumer – where Veryvell will launch later this summer.

The non-alcohol, hemp-derived beverage made with adaptogens — herbal components that are known to adapt to the body’s needs — launched in Colorado in late 2020 and grew its e-commerce presence to 18 states in the last year.

Now it’s expanded its lineup of CBD beverages and CBD beverage drops into six additional states: Alabama, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Tennessee and Wyoming.

“This is an early emerging category, and Truss is on the forefront of it,” says Jane Armstrong Hockman, general manager of Truss USA, a joint venture between Molson Coors Beverage Company and Canadian cannabis industry leader HEXO Corp. “There’s a lot more to come in 2022.”

Whereas 2021 was about building capabilities, “this year is about expansion,” she says. "We will continue to build capabilities, brands and retail strategies that enable us to grow with the category and scale long-term."

Along with expanding into new states and reaching new consumers, Truss is also expanding channels by charting a path in the on-premise, where more venues are incorporating Veryvell into premium mocktails or serving it alone as an elevated non-alc offering.

“Veryvell is simply a sparkling water, elevated with premium flavors, no calories and the added benefit of CBD and adaptogens,” Hockman says. “The elevated experience and premium flavors give consumers a reason to trade up from their everyday sparkling water.”

The brand’s performance and growth in 2022 is an early indicator that Truss is on the right path, Hockman says. And as regulatory environments evolve, Vervyell will remain flexible so it can grow at the right time with the Molson Coors network, she says.

“Forming a new category and educating new consumers takes time. The CBD category is small but growing. We believe it has long-term potential, and we are in a position to win,” says Hockman.

Veryvell comes in three flavors and is sold individually or a variety pack:

  • Focus: a combination of grapefruit and tarragon with ginseng and guarana
  • Mind & Body: a blend of strawberry and hibiscus with ashwagandha and elderberry
  • Unwind: a fusion of blueberry and lavender with ashwagandha and L-theanine
