Emballator Tectubes has recently made a substantial investment in a new fully automated plastic extrusion line, enabling the production of plastic tubes in bio-based and consumer-recycled materials with exceptionally high print quality. This initiative reflects the company’s ambition to become a leading producer of sustainable plastic tubes in Scandinavia.

With over 50 years of tube manufacturing experience in Hjo, Emballator Tectubes combines its well-established traditions and extensive expertise with the new extrusion line’s capability to produce tubes from bio-based and recycled materials. The tubes from Emballator Tectubes are mainly used in the Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, and Food markets.

The machine’s multi-layer technology gives us the ability to integrate recycled materials into the tubes, which signals the company’s commitment to sustainability and demonstrates its ability to meet the new directives from EU. By using a considerable proportion of recycled materials, the company aims to reduce its carbon footprint and promote the principles of a circular economy.

“Our latest investment is more than just technology – it represents a new level of efficiency and sustainability. This is arguably Europe’s most advanced plastic extrusion line with a high proportion of recycled material and fully automated production. We can produce at a higher speed compared to other lines while avoiding heavy lifting and manual labor,” says Tobias Lidevei, CEO of Emballator Tectubes.

One of the main benefits of the extrusion line is the ability to offer exceptionally high print quality in various designs. The seamless ability to switch between flexo-technology, screen, and inline foiling in the printing process opens possibilities for a broader and more versatile design, further enhancing the company’s ability to meet diverse customer requirements and industry standards. Thanks to the new printing technology, Emballator will achieve an entirely new level of quality and precision, differentiating its products and strengthening its market position.

“With the new line, we guarantee the best print quality possible. It is a significant step forward, and we are confident that this will set a new standard in the industry. The new extrusion line is a strategic investment that positions us as a reliable player ready to meet the growing needs and challenges in the market”, says Tobias.

Overall, the investment represents not only an economic strategy but also a sustainable and technological advancement, positioning Emballator as a leading player in tube manufacturing in Scandinavia and beyond.
