Initiative plans to train 70 thousand young people and connect 15 thousand to the job market by 2025 The Coca-Cola Brazil Institute (ICCB) and Suzano have just announced an unprecedented partnership to reduce inequalities and accelerate the economic empowerment of young people in situations of social vulnerability, through training and generation of employment opportunities. The initiative plans to train 70,000 young people through training on the Coletivo Jovem Platform and connect 15,000 to the job market by 2025, in strategic territories for Suzano. The company is also committed to hiring young people directly in its operations and encouraging partners in its value chain to hire and promote the cause. The partnership with Suzano, in addition to expanding ICCB's impact actions, will stimulate the company's journey of racial and social diversity and inclusion. The contribution will be R$ 4 million, over two years, and will add to the more than R$ 100 million already invested by ICCB in the last 10 years in the theme. Daniela Redondo, Executive Director of the Coca-Cola Brazil Institute, comments on the opportunities of the partnership. “The arrival of Suzano accelerates our agenda to impact 5 million young people by 2030. We believe that, to move the needle on inequality and contribute to the country's socioeconomic development, we need to act with a focus on young people, including gender and racial equity perspectives in our actions, and encourage business initiatives that accelerate their hiring. And the partnership with Suzano is a new chapter in this journey.” “Our premise is to unite and engage with companies that have values and objectives similar to ours, in this case, to strengthen social development through income generation and education in different regions of the country, thus contributing to building a better future for this and future generations. This partnership with ICCB is aligned with one of our Commitments to Renew Life, a set of 15 long-term goals, which is to remove 200,000 people from the poverty line in our areas of operation by 2030”, emphasizes Fernando Bertolucci, Executive Director of Technology, Innovation and Sustainability at Suzano. Starting this month, the partnership will begin to work to provide more job opportunities for young people in the regions where Suzano operates. In addition, investments are planned in ICCB's social technology to scale training opportunities and connect with employability. It is a continuous and mutual reinforcement to achieve the significant combat of social and economic issues in the country, seeing value in the power of young Brazilians. The Coca-Cola Brazil Institute (ICCB) is a Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP) and its purpose is to be an agent of social transformation to reduce inequalities and contribute to the country's socioeconomic development, enhanced by partnerships and the Coca System -Glue.
