ReeMatic 250Automatic Tray Sealer Leading off this year’s show is Ossid’s lineup of tray sealers, including the ReeMatic 250 Automatic Tray Sealer. Designed to meet the needs of medium- to high-level processors, the ReeMatic 250 produces ambient, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), and vacuum skin packaging (VSP) styles. The tray sealer has a multi-lane tray loading conveyor customizable from one to four tracks. The tray transport system is driven by pusher rods guiding the trays down the line in a step-by-step movement, leading onto the defined die-set position. The ReeMatic 250 will be demonstrating the packaging of model hamburger patties in conjunction with Ossid’s NextGen Weigh Price Labeler. Handling up to 150 packages per minute with WYSIWYG label design, the NextGen WPL has an interface that allows the end user to view something very similar to the end result, all while the document is being created. The WPL is modular in design, allowing for short lead and delivery time, and is National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) approved. Reepack ReeTray 30 Semi-Automatic Tray Sealer Another must-see tray sealer at the show is the Reepack ReeTray 30 Semi-Automatic Tray Sealer, which will demonstrate vacuum skin packaged ready-to-eat meals. The ReeTray 30 is an ideal machine for small to medium size food manufacturers and processors as it can perform three types of sealing: ambient tray sealing, MAP and VSP applications. The ReeTray 30 features a chambered system for packaging products in lidding/VSP trays, as well as flat cardboard (VSP skin on board applications). Reepack ReeFlow 50 Flow Wrapper Demonstrating the best way to efficiently package individual brownies at PACK EXPO 2022 is the ReeFlow Rotary Motion Flow Wrapper. This demo involves model brownies picked and placed with robotics from Quest industrial, a ProMach brand. The Reepack ReeFlow 50 Horizontal Flow Wrapper can package up to 250 products a minute, while also cutting down changeover time between package format types. Ossid 500Si High-Speed Stretch Overwrapper Looking for tightly wrapped trays accomplished at high speeds? Then be sure to see Ossid’s 500Si High-Speed Stretch Overwrapper, which produces tightly wrapped, PVC case ready packaging at speeds of up to 120 trays per minute. The 500Si can handle a variety of eco-friendly film and tray materials, which is the basis of its show demonstration. The solution will run both model produce and proteins with a compostable tray and film for a complete sustainable package. The overwrapper will also integrate with a labeler from EPI, a ProMach brand. Reepack ReeForm E10 Thermoformer The ReeForm E10 Thermoformer is a compact machine for small to medium production output of products using VSP and MAP packaging. At the show, it will be running a flexible package for steaks. Applications such as steak packaging are ideal for the E10 as its frame is stainless steel for easy sanitation in washdown environments, and comes with an open-frame design that ensures easy access for cleaning hard to reach areas. A user-friendly control panel provides easy programming and operation for users with varying levels of skill. Reepack RV 620 Vacuum Chamber Finally, show attendees can see Reepack’s RV 620 Vacuum Chamber package model whole birds, such as turkeys. The RV 620 is a semi-automatic machine available in a tabletop or wheeled-frame model. Store and select up to nine automatic programs. Evacuation and gas flushing processes are pressure controlled for high-quality packing.
