Simpson Strong-Tie®, the leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, will feature a range of commercial concrete products during the 47th Annual STAFDA Convention & Trade Show, including
rebar reinforcement alignment options for deep foundations and earth retention from its new Pieresearch subsidiary. Attendees can meet with Simpson Strong-Tie specialists and preview products at Booth 732 during the convention, which is being held November 5–7 in San Antonio, Texas.
During the show, Simpson Strong-Tie will highlight innovations from its recent acquisition of Pieresearch, which has led the industry in rebar reinforcement alignment products, specializing in non-corrosive plastic rebar alignment and centralizer products for drilled shafts, soil nails, rebar-reinforced earth retention anchors and more.
Quick-Lock HD® pier wheels are designed to properly position a reinforcing steel cage in a drilled shaft, or other heavy duty applications where concrete cover must be maintained.
The rebar alignment and centralizer application solutions provided by Simpson Strong-Tie’s Pieresearch subsidiary serve commercial, industrial, highway, educational, governmental, sports and entertainment, retail, food and beverage, marine, energy and power production, and transportation sectors. This includes the Unibar® Centralizer products, which are specifically designed for the installation of soil nails and related earth retention elements.
Rigorously tested and proven for reliability, Pieresearch products are manufactured in the US to meet the highest quality standards set by the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute and American Concrete Institute. Like other solutions from Simpson Strong-Tie, these rebar alignment and centralizer products are widely available and backed by expert service and technical support.
In addition, Simpson Strong-Tie will launch the
3G family of epoxy and hybrid-acrylic anchoring adhesives. Code listed for cracked and uncracked concrete, 3G adhesive anchors are easy to install and provide a high-strength hold. The lineup comprises SET-3G™ epoxy, the company’s most versatile adhesive with ultimate bond strength for heavy-duty, structural work; ET-3G™ epoxy for general rebar doweling and threaded rod; and fast-curing AT-3G™, a hybrid acrylic that allows same-day bolt-up in a wide range of temperatures, including extreme cold.
