Fortune magazine named Otis to the prestigious list for second consecutive year. Otis has received the highly coveted recognition as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune magazine, based on an evaluation from more than 3,700 business leaders and industry analysts. Otis moved up 13 spots on the overall list to #226 this year. The company’s highest grades in the industrial machinery category were again quality of management as well as products and services. Otis is among 324 companies to earn the honor this year. “I couldn't be prouder of our colleagues around the globe for their dedication and contributions that make a recognition like this possible,” says Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer Abbe Luersman. “As we work to make the world a taller, faster and smarter place to live, I want to share my appreciation with everyone who helps our customers, passengers and communities thrive.” The ‘World’s Most Admired Companies’ list ranks companies within their respective industry using nine key attributes. Only the highest-ranked companies made the final list from a starting group of about 650 businesses across 27 countries. Otis was also recently recognized as one of the World’s Best Employers and one of the World’s Top Female-Friendly Companies by Forbes as well as one of America's Most Responsible Companies, as named by Newsweek.
