Metsä Fibre’s Vilppula sawmill has already produced 18 million m3 of spruce lumber; package marking the milestone was shipped to ISB France, which uses Vilppula’s output primarily for interior and exterior cladding, construction, joinery products

The package marking the achievement was delivered on 28 September to ISB France, a long-term customer of Metsä Fibre. ISB France uses Vilppula’s spruce sawn timber primarily for interior and exterior cladding, construction and joinery products.

“This package represents the 30-year collaboration between ISB France and Metsä Fibre. And we believe that the strong relationship will continue also in the future” says Armel Chaumont, Purchase Director of ISB.

“We have provided our customer with reliable sawn timber deliveries that meet their quality requirements. The manufacture of products that meet customers’ needs begins with the planning of felling; with the right raw material for sawn timber that is precisely delivered to the customer for the required purpose and further processing,” says Tomi Saine, Mill Manager of the Vilppula sawmill. 

The package marking 18 million cubic metres of spruce sawn timber produced by Metsä Fibre’s Vilppula sawmill was received by Jean-Louis Camici ,Vice President, Armel Chaumont, Purchase Director, Thomas Le Cain, Purchase Manager from ISB France. Metsä Fibre was represented by VP Sales Europe Mikael Lagerblom, Area Sales Director Jean-Mathieu Cossutta, and  Mikko Taupila, Development Manager of the Vilppula sawmill.
