LMC Vice President of Technology, Jack Phipps, presented the latest tech updates and future plans for the cooperative at the LBM buying group’s Technology Update presentation. The updates aim to improve efficiency and reduce friction, with a focus on simplifying administrative work. The “Workbench” pilot program launching in May will provide faster and more consistent quotes, better reporting, and faster onboarding of new LMC buyers and traders. LMC is also working on creating its first e-commerce platform that will centralize product data and be usable with other ERP and e-commerce platforms.
