Cabinetworks Group, the country’s largest privately-owned cabinet manufacturer, hosted a ribbon-cutting event to mark the grand opening of the company’s new headquarters in Livonia, Michigan, on December 7. The event included remarks from Cabinetworks Group leadership as well as special guests including Michigan 22nd House District Representative Matt Koleszar and City of Livonia Mayor Maureen Brosnan. The headquarters, located at 20000 Victor Parkway, includes workstations for over 200 corporate employees and serves as the hub from which the company will lead its more than 8,000 employees nationwide. John Barkhouse, Cabinetworks Group Chief Executive Officer, said, “Our new headquarters is more than just a building. It represents a fresh perspective as we join together in a collaborative environment where people can connect in person, innovate, and live our core values as a strong, unified team. I am excited about the future of this business and our company as we continue to transform and grow with a customerfirst focus.” Jo Ann Morelli, Chief Human Resources Officer, also noted that Livonia is a vibrant community with a wide range of skilled talent to draw from as the company enacts its plans for continued growth, while current employees will enjoy the amenities of the new office and surrounding city. Previously headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Cabinetworks Group operations have grown significantly in recent years through a series of acquisitions, prompting the company to seek a new corporate hub to centralize its corporate functions while maintaining its roots in Michigan. The new headquarters received significant renovation and improvements to modernize the space and incorporate amenities for employees, including a fitness center and yoga room, a café, grab-and-go food service, and a training center for employee meetings and customer events. The main common area, known as ‘Downtown,’ includes three highly functional and beautiful display kitchens in which employees and visitors can interact with and learn about the company’s products. The building also incorporates the latest technology to facilitate teamwork and collaboration across Cabinetworks Group’s network of operations, which includes 18 manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. The company manufactures more than 15 brands of cabinetry across a wide spectrum of price points.
