Houston residents can participate in a food waste drop-off pilot program from Jan. 22 to Feb. 29. The program is a collaboration between the city's Solid Waste Management Department and Zero Waste Houston.

Food scraps, compostable items, and other organic materials will be collected at four Houston Health Department locations for composting.
