Uralkali (the Company) commenced a campaign to invite school graduates to continue their education in the Company’s partnering universities in key professions. Tuition fees will be fully covered by Uralkali as the future employer. The academic programmes under this employer-sponsored education include chemistry; surveying; electrification and automation of mining; mining machines and equipment; underground development of ore deposits; electric power engineering and equipment; chemical technology of inorganic matters; process and production automation; production machines and equipment; geological surveying, prospecting and exploration of solid minerals; thermal power engineering and equipment; railway rolling stock; railway operations; relay protection and automation of electrical systems; digital design in mechanical engineering; and standardisation and metrology. Uralkali’s educational partners are represented by Perm State National Research University; Perm National Research Polytechnic University and its branch in Berezniki; St. Petersburg Mining University; Yeltsin Ural Federal University; Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys; Ural State University of Railway Transport; Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University; Institute of Electric Power Engineering and Electronics of Kazan State Energy University; Ulyanov Chuvash State University; and Alekseyev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. To join the programme, candidates have to achieve a cumulative score of at least 180 in the unified state examination in Russian, Mathematics and one optional discipline (Physics, Chemistry or Informatics). Applications can be submitted until 10 June 2023. Reference After enrolment, participants of the programme will be provided with additional assurances and benefits. Starting from their second year at university, they will receive a scholarship from Uralkali in the amount of RUB 3,000-12,000 per month, based on their academic performance. The students will also be offered paid internships at the Company’s surface and underground facilities and subdivisions and will be provided with necessary educational materials and textbooks for their term and graduation papers. Uralkali guarantees employment for graduates of the programme including a signing allowance. Uralkali (www.uralkali.com) is one of the world’s largest potash producers and exporters.
