The total amount of milk sold off farms in January increased 2.6% year over year to 809 797 kilolitres. Meanwhile, milk sold off farms for fluid purposes was virtually unchanged year over year, at 223 347 kilolitres. Milk sold off farms for industrial purposes increased 3.6% year over year to 586 450 kilolitres.

Total cash receipts from milk and cream sold off farms amounted to $740.9 million in January, up 15.6% year over year.
