In 2022, Canadian wool producers saw record-low prices for their wool, as the international demand for Canadian wool remained below pre-pandemic levels. The average price paid for wool to Canadian producers in 2022 was $0.38 per kilogram. The volume of raw wool purchased directly from Canadian producers was 1.4 million kilograms in 2022, an increase of 53.7% from 2021.

The total farm value was $547,000, a decrease of 22.6% from 2021.
