Wiley and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan sign open access agreement that provides scholars with reading access to Wiley's complete journal portfolio, enables researchers to publish in Wiley's hybrid open access journals

HOBOKEN, New Jersey , May 16, 2024 (press release) –

Wiley, one of the world’s largest publishers and a global leader in research and learning, today announced a new four-year open access agreement with the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, beginning on 1 January 2024.

This agreement, which represents Wiley’s first in Taiwan, provides scholars with reading access to Wiley’s complete journal portfolio and enables researchers to publish in Wiley’s hybrid open access journal portfolio, which includes over 1,300 journals.

Ming-Jiu Hwang, Library Director, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, stated, “By embracing open access through this agreement with Wiley, the university hopes to amplify the impact of our research on a broader scale and shape a more inclusive scholarly landscape.”

“Open access is an important pillar for the advancement of research and knowledge around the globe,” said Kathryn Sharples, Vice President, Open Research, Wiley. “It’s a pleasure to partner with the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University to ensure that university scholars have a simple and clear route to open access publishing.”
