Uralkali (the Company) and Pryanishnikov Perm State Agro-Technological University (PSATU) signed an agreement for cooperation in education, research and innovations. The agreement envisages training of qualified specialists for the potash industry and joint research in agricultural chemistry, soil health and fertiliser efficiency. Vitaly Lauk, Uralkali CEO: The Company’s cooperation with the Perm State Agro-Technological University will augment the region’s agricultural sector with advanced scientific methods and innovative technologies, and will create a platform to train highly competent engineers. Aleksey Andreyev, PSATU acting rector: Uralkali is a leader of the Russian potash industry and an employer of choice in Perm Region and also for our graduates. Internships at Uralkali for our students will essentially secure their subsequent employment. I am sure that this agreement will increase the university’s research potential and will boost the development of the national agrarian sector. Uralkali (www.uralkali.com) is one of the world’s largest potash producers and exporters. The Company’s assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore treatment plants in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Region, Russia). Uralkali employs more than 13,300 people in the main production unit.
