PureCycle holds global "Pure Planet Day" cleanup events; volunteers in US, Belgium collect waste near company facilities and local areas

September 18, 2024 (press release) –

Ironton, OhioPureCycle Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCT), today, held clean-up events at various locations in the United States and Europe to celebrate the Company’s annual volunteer event, “Pure Planet Day.” PureCycle team members in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, and Antwerp, Belgium took time to clean up their local communities.

In Ironton, the PureCycle team cleaned up roadside solid and plastic waste near PureCycle’s flagship purification facility. The polypropylene plastic that is collected in Ohio will be recycled at PureCycle’s Ironton Facility.

Team members from the Orlando area worked together with members of Keep Orlando Beautiful to clean up litter around Lake Dot. PureCycle’s Research & Development team volunteered in Durham, North Carolina by picking up trash along a local trail. Then at the Port of Antwerp, PureCycle’s European team cleaned up litter that was found near the Company’s future facility at the Port of Antwerp’s NextGen District.

“We strive to help the planet every day with our cutting-edge, plastic recycling technology, but it’s extra special when we get to go out in our communities and lend a hand,” said PureCycle CEO Dustin Olson. “I love to see that our efforts have expanded from Ironton to Orlando to Durham and all the way to Europe. I look forward to continuing this annual tradition for many years to come.”
