The passage of Cyclone Chido over the Mayotte archipelago on December 14 has been an unprecedented natural disaster. More than 100,000 people living in precarious housing have seen their homes completely destroyed. There is an urgent need to address essential requirements: water, food, debris clearance, and medical care. Given the scale of the disaster, the Fondation Pierre Fabre has decided to provide support amounting to €100,000 to address these urgent needs. These funds will be allocated to the French Red Cross, which is currently on-site and actively involved in emergency operations. Pierre Fabre Laboratories, of which the Fondation Pierre Fabre is the majority shareholder, will also donate hygiene kits to the affected residents. About Pierre Fabre Fondation Recognized as a public utility since 1999, the Pierre Fabre Foundation works to provide better access to medicines and quality healthcare for populations in the Global South.
