Metsä Tissue's 2025 Sustainability Awards submission window closes with 91 entries; awards were founded in partnership with Cleaning & Services Support Assn. in 2023 with aim of shining a spotlight on sustainability across the cleaning, hygiene industry

October 14, 2024 (press release) –

The window to submit entries for the Metsä 2025 Sustainability Awards closed on 30 September 2024.

A total of 91 entries were received from 46 companies. Nominations were submitted across all five categories and all were automatically entered in the Judges' Choice award.

The deadline for nominations was originally on 31 August 2024, but it was extended by a month due to a large number of requests from potential entrants impacted by the holiday season.

Commenting on the nominations, Mika Paljakka, Metsä Tissue’s SVP UK & Ireland, said: “We are very pleased by the number and the calibre of the entries submitted for the 2025 Sustainability Awards. With 40 percent more nominations received than the 2023 awards, it is clear that the Metsä Sustainability Awards have become a benchmark for the industry.
