INDEX 23, the world’s largest nonwovens exhibition, will be returning to Geneva, Switzerland, from 18-21 April 2023. At this crucial time for the industry, participation will allow businesses and customers to sustain an updated network, staying ahead on both business opportunities and new developments, PalExpo, which organizes the show on behalf of EDANA, said. The show will cover a range of innovations from across the nonwovens sector including key areas such as automotive, geotextiles, medical nonwovens, filtration, packaging and hygiene. Around 13,000 visitors are expected to attend the show, 70% of whom will typically be decision-makers within their respective companies. The last edition in 2020, one of the first exhibitions in the industry to take place in person during the Covid-19 pandemics, also welcomed over 500 exhibitors from 42 countries, making a total of 700 exhibitors when including those attending via the virtual platform. More than 90% of exhibitors were satisfied with the business results achieved in the last two editions of the show, PalExpo said, with nine out of ten visitors saying they were actively seeking new suppliers. Next year's show will also include a number of seminars with exhibitors having the opportunity to showcase their latest innovations through product presentations. Sector seminars on key innovation-based topics will be held around crucial themes, including health, transportation, geotextiles, energy and sustainability with the latter encompassing innovation, circularity and “The event comes at a time when collaboration and discussion is needed more than ever as the nonwovens industry – and the wider manufacturing landscape – faces unprecedented challenges," said Murat Dogru, General Manager of EDANA.
