“Amazon to acquire primary medical provider One Medical for $3.9 billion. There is an immense opportunity to make the #healthcare experience more accessible, affordable, & enjoyable for patients, providers, and payers. Good direction from @amazon”
“$AMZN will build a vertical monopoly for medical supplies and pharmaceuticals using their logistics advantages, which they will also use to serve (at least) smaller medical practices. @Amazon may also use the data they collect at the clinic level to monopolize urgent care.”
“Amazing Amazon: Amazon to Buy One Medical for $3.49 Billion! @amazon announced it would buy primary-care company @onemedical, the latest move by the e-commerce giant to muscle into the healthcare market https://buff.ly/3b081DI #innovation #healthcare #digitalhealth”
“This is a much better outcome for patients & doctors than a rumored Aetna/CVS/Caremark acquisition of One Medical would have been. This is the webpage for Amazon’s Amazon Care business offering virtual care & website said in-person care coming in ’22.”
“Amazon is buying boutique health-care provider One Medical for roughly $3.9 billion, @annierpalmer reports. It will be interesting to see if — and how — Walmart responds. It’s been opening primary care clinics next to some of its stores. $AMZN $WMT”
