The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released its Q4 2021 Boxboard Monthly report. Total Boxboard production in Q4 increased two percent compared to Q4 2020. It was up two percent when compared to the same twelve months of 2020. The boxboard operating rate was 94.1 percent, up 0.7 points from Q4 2020 and up 1.2 points year-to-date. Solid Bleached Boxboard production in Q4 decreased two percent compared to Q4 2020. Recycled Boxboard production in Q4 increased three percent compared to Q4 2020. It was flat when compared to the same 12 months of 2020.
Unbleached Kraft & Gypsum production in Q4 increased six percent compared to Q4 2020. It was up six percent when compared to the same 12 months of 2020.
