Jaakko Poyry to provide engineering services for Norske Skog's rebuild project at its Saugbrugs, Norway, paper mill

VANTAA, Finland , January 22, 2006 (press release) – Jaakko Poyry Oy, which is part of the Jaakko Poyry Group's Forest Industry business group, has been assigned by Norske Skogindustrier ASA, Saugbrugs, Norway, to provide engineering services for the rebuild project at the Halden TMP plant. The value of the services is EUR 2.5 million.

Jaakko Poyry's contract includes engineering management and detail engineering services. By its NOK 700 million investment in the Halden TMP plant rebuild, Norske Skog will be able to meet the new paper quality standards. The rebuild project is scheduled to be implemented in March 2007.

This assignment is a further continuation of the cooperation between Norske Skog and Jaakko Poyry, dating back for more than 20 years. Jaakko Pöyry has served Norske Skog in their paper mill projects worldwide.

The Jaakko Poyry Group's Forest Industry business group operates under the brand name Jaakko Poyry. Its net sales for 2004 were EUR 186 million. The Forest Industry business group has offices in 19 countries and employs 2100 experts worldwide.
