Stamps.com was nominated in the Business Innovation of the Year - Business Service Industries category for its BestRate Shopping Engine.
The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
Stamps.com's BestRate Shopping Engine helps customers easily identify the most cost-effective shipping option for their packages. It takes multiple variables into consideration, including box size, delivery time guarantee, the lowest price for each specific package and its destination. Based on the priorities selected by the customer, the BestRate Shopping Engine lists all USPS shipping options in an easy-to-read format and instantly displays a gold star next to the best rate.
"We're honored to be named a finalist for business innovation in this year's American Business Awards," said Ken McBride, Stamps.com chairman and CEO. "The BestRate Shopping Engine helps online retailers automate their shipping processes, and provides them with a guarantee that they're using the most cost-effective USPS shipping service that meets their needs."
Finalists were chosen by more than 150 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. More than 150 members of several specialized judging committees determined Stevie Award placements from among the finalists during final judging, which occurred between May 13 and May 22.
