Vetroplas Packaging Ltd. has supplied packaging for U.K.-based luxury pet shampoo company Precious Pets London Ltd., marking Vetroplas’ first foray into the growing pet grooming market, Packaging Europe reported on July 14.
Vetroplas, which has traditionally supplied premium packaging to the personal care and cosmetics sectors, supplied Precious Pets London with a high-quality 200 milliliter (ml) plastic bottle featuring a Lily twist-open, non-spill cap.
The non-spill cap was important because Precious Pets London was concerned with limiting product wastage, said Vetroplas Sales Director Simon Dix.
The cap, which boasts a silver-and-gold foil band, will help extend the life of the shampoo threefold in comparison to similar products, noted Packaging Europe
The foil band makes the product attractive as well as functional, noted Dix, adding that the company wanted to supply something “dog owners would be proud to display in their home.”
Charlotte Nash from Precious Pets London noted that the packaging supplied by Vetroplas reflects the premium nature of the shampoo, and helps it stand out from similar products on the shelf.
Nash added that Precious Pets London chose to work with Vetroplas based on the packaging company’s experience with start-up businesses in the luxury human beauty sector.
