DUSSELDORF, Germany , July 11, 2014 (press release) – “AMS-Arbeitsschutz mit System“ is the name of the health & safety quality seal issued by the VBG employers‘ liability insurance association. The management of the Gerresheimer production sites for molded glass in Essen, Lohr and Tettau underwent a VGB audit in December 2013 and received a 3-year certificate in April.

“This certificate is more than just a piece of paper. Molded glass is produced at Gerresheimer Essen, Lohr and Tettau 365 days a year. We want to ensure that our employees can work in safe and healthy conditions,“ said Joachim Herrmann, HR Manager at Gerresheimer Lohr, who has been appointed as the AMS Officer for the three production facilities. He is responsible for the sustainable implementation of a work management system and is effectively supported by a project team with members at all three sites.

Werner Masek, Health & Safety Officer in Essen:
“Health & safety is absolutely essential at any production facility. But the people who work here also have to understand why it is important to comply with health & safety regulations.”
