Giant Food Stores announces recall of Simply Enjoy walnut chocolate chip cookies because packages actually contain white chocolate macadamia nut cookies

YORK, Pennsylvania , July 11, 2014 (York Daily Record) – Giant Food Stores is removing from sale its Simply Enjoy Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies because the packages actually contain White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies. Macadamia nuts are a known allergen and the package label does not indicate the product contains macadamia nuts.

Consumers should discard the unused portion and bring their receipt to any Giant store for a full refund.

The recall is for 7 ounce packages of Simply Enjoy Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies with the UPC Code 68826713513 and lot code 140509AR.
