CHARLOTTE, North Carolina , July 8, 2014 (press release) – The Board of Directors of American Forest Management, Inc. (AFM) elected Andrew Ferguson as its Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2015. Ferguson will succeed Robert (Robin) M. Jolley, Jr. upon his retirement at the end of 2014. Jolley will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.

“With over 25 years of industry and consulting experience, and working in a team environment to support our mission for the past 15 years, Andy is well suited to make a smooth and seamless transition into the CEO role”, said Jolley.

Ferguson began his career with Union Camp as a land management Forester in 1990, additional positions included wood procurement and inventory/planning. He joined AFM in 1999 as Forest Management Planner. During his years with the company, he has served in senior leadership roles in Investment Services, Appraisal and Technical Services, making significant contributions to the company’s expansion as AFM grew to become one of the largest forestry consulting firms in the U.S.

In making the announcement, Roy Belser, Chairman, noted, “I am very pleased that Andy has been appointed CEO of American Forest Management. Everyone who has contact with Andy understands and is aware of his vast capabilities, leadership, and vision. Ferguson earned his A.A.S., B.S and M.F. in Forest Management from SUNY, College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He is a North Carolina licensed real estate broker and a member of the Society of American Foresters and the North Carolina Forestry Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Forest landowners Association.
