The WD-40 Co. has packaged its popular 3-in-One lubricating oil in a new extrusion blown polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle with a 6-inch telescoping Marksman Spout, Pack World reported June 30.
The compact bottle, which easily fits in a tool box or tool belt, features a five-color full-body flexo PET sleeve label developed by WS Packaging Group. The label also includes a clear indicator on the side that shows how much of the lubricating oil is left during use.
It is not known who supplied the bottle or the spout, as WD-40 preferred not to release this information, according to Pack World.
WD-40 Brand Manager Linda Cernik-Price simply said the filling was developed by a domestic partner.
The previous bottle for WD-40's 3-in-One lubricating oil was extrusion blown PET as well, but its telescoping spout was not as long as the new bottle’s spout. The longer Marksman Spout allows a more accurate delivery, according to Pack World.
