– Coal prices in five U.S. coal commodity regions in the week ended June 20 were as follows versus the week ended June 13, according to figures from the U.S. Energy Information Administration supplied by SNL Energy and reported June 23.
Average weekly coal commodity spot prices, in dollars per short ton:
Central Appalachia (CAPP) 12,500 Btu, 1.2 SO2: US$60.70, unchanged from week ended June 13
Northern Appalachia (NAPP) 13,000 Btu, <3.0 SO2: US$65.15, unchanged from week ended June 13
Illinois Basin 11,800 Btu, 5.0 SO2: US$46.00, unchanged from week ended June 13
Powder River Basin (PRB) 8,800 Btu 0.8 SO2: US$13.00, unchanged from week ended June 13
Uinta Basin 11,700 SO2: US$36.75, unchanged from week ended June 13
