MUMBAI, India , June 24, 2014 () – Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (8739/DELNP/2012 A) filed by The Procter & Gamble Co., Cincinnati, on Oct. 8, 2012, for 'reconfigurable converting lines and methods for fabricating both taped diapers and pant diapers.' Inventors include Gary Dean Lavon, Michael Gary Nease, Gene Xiaoqing Huang and Jacob Alan Barnhorst.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2014. According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Aspects of the apparatuses and methods according to the present disclosure relate to a converting apparatus for the fabrication of absorbent articles. The apparatuses and methods may be adapted to operate in a first configuration to produce a plurality of taped diapers. The apparatuses and methods may also be adapted to operate in a second configuration to produce a plurality of pant diapers." The patent application was internationally filed on March 29, 2011, under International application No. PCT/US2011/030286.
